Wellington Children’s Hospital

With 7,200m2 over 3 floors, Steel E.D. worked with Wellington District Health to bring this project to life with the supply and install of hard-landscape items, coloured playscape, aluminium parapet caps, seismic damper Under-Croft screens, grates and sub-structure, stainless steel bumper rails and kick plates, seismic water tank restraint, stainless steel lift fronts, powder-coated aluminium seismic door panels, and feature curtain walling fins. For these brand-new, boutique hotel apartments, Steel E.D. & Patton were engaged to add to the contemporary look with powder-coated aluminium feature screen art façade cladding, feature screen sub-structure, galvanised steel balustrades, stair hand rails in the foyer, and emergency egress access ways.

Tākina – Wellington Convention & Exhibition Centre

Tākina - Wellington Convention Centre

One of Wellington’s largest, most impressive, projects of the last few years, Steel E.D. came onboard to create aluminium powder-coated curved and swooping fascia’s, aluminium veined cladding planks, painted roll-formed Dia-Grid halo rails, painted stair balustrades, external brass grab rails, brass-look stair handrails, painted feature roof access grating, and seismic active stainless steel planter boxes.

Working alongside LT McGuinness, Steel E.D.  were tasked with the high-end finish of this modern space. The project included copper effect foyer and lift lobby panels and metal woven mesh, stainless steel handrails to stairs and balconies, powder-coated balustrades, and stainless steel hard landscaping.
